First journal in linguistics co-published by De Gruyter and Versita2011-05-18
In 2009 De Gruyter and Versita launched a joint co-publishing program aimed at increasing the global exposure of scholarly journals from Central & Eastern Europe. 'Poznan Studies in Contemporary Linguistics' is the first journal to join this high-quality portfolio. Versita and De Gruyter are working to extend their cooperation in Linguistics and other areas.
De Gruyter is a publishing house with a long and impressive history. Specialized in humanities, is a no. 1 publisher in the world in the area of Linguistics. Versita is a young and dynamic publishing house – during its 10-year history, it has built a portfolio of over 200 scientific journals published in different models, and earned a reputation of the leading academic publisher in Central and Eastern Europe. A combination of advanced publishing solutions offered by Versita and extensive sales and marketing with the reputable brand of De Gruyter will benefit all journals that will join this publishing program in the future.
Poznan Studies in Contemporary Linguistics owned by the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland, aims to be a source of outstanding research in contemporary linguistics, presenting a wide perspective on linguistic theories and interdisciplinary study of language. Joining Versita/De Gruyter co-publishing program will benefit the journal due to wider access, more readers and citations and increased awareness. Editor-in-Chief of the journal, prof. Katarzyna Dziubalska-Kolaczyk, comments: “De Gruyter represents the highest standards of publication in linguistics and we are proud to be part of their top-quality portfolio. We are equally happy to embark on the next stage of our fruitful cooperation with Versita. By joining the Versita/De Gruyter co-publishing project our journal has a chance to further develop and gain a wider exposure to the global community of linguists”.
Jacek Ciesielski, General Manager of Versita, comments: “We are delighted to launch journal co-publishing with De Gruyter Mouton, which will contribute to the dissemination of top-class research in the area of Linguistics and soon also in other subject categories. I am convinced that Poznan Studies in Contemporary Linguistics will benefit from our professional technology, sales, distribution and marketing services. We are looking forward to expanding our portfolio with more high-quality journals from Central and Eastern Europe to ensure they gain the awareness and impact they deserve".
