In traditional, subscription model, Versita co-publishes journals with Springer and de Gruyter. We began co-operation with Springer in 2006. Springer is the second largest scientific publisher in the world. Springer’s strongholds are physical sciences, engineering and biomedical sciences. Co-operation with de Gruyter began in 2009. De Gruyter is the world’s leading publisher in linguistics, philosophy, theology and religious studies, classical studies and other areas of humanities, and is building strong journal program in mathematics, medicine and life sciences.

Versita acquires the rights to publish the journal from the journal owner, who retains the ownership of the journal. Versita produces the journal, and our publishing partner does distribution and marketing. Versita and its partner cover all publishing costs, while the journal owner receives a revenue share.
