Versita was founded as Central European Science Journals in 2001 by Jacek Ciesielski. A graduate of the London School of Economics and the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management , has worked as journalist, private entrepreneur, and the general manager of local subsidiaries of global corporations Hasbro and Fuji Photo Film.
