Authors

Jazykovedný časopis accepts texts submitted in an electronic form (in text editor Microsoft Word, font Times New Roman, 12-point and 1,5 spacing). Contributions could be sent by e-mail or on CD. In case the text contains a special signs or tables, diagrams, pictures etc. it is necessary to sent also a printed version.

Contributions to the Research Articles, Discussion and Review Discussion sections should include English or German abstract 100 – 200 words in length and a list of key words in the language of abstract and in the language of the article.
When preparing the contributions, please, respect these directions:

  • The contributions should contain full name of author(s), his/her institutional affiliation and titles,
  • The text of the contribution should be flush left, words in the end of line are not split, hard return is used only in the end of paragraphs,
  • Paragraphs are begun with an indent,
  • Italics is used usually for titles and word examples,
  • Boldface is usually used for subtitles and key terms,
  • Endnotes (not footnotes) are marked with a superscripts in text,
  • References in the text (in parentheses) contain surname of the author, the year of publication and number of the page (Ondrejovič, 2008, p. 95),
  • The list of references is in the end of the text (not in a footnote) in an alphabetical order. If there are more works of the same author, they are listed chronologically.

Contributions to the Book Review, Book Notices and Chronicle sections have references included in the text.
References should be given in the following format, punctuation and typewriting:< br />
