Limnological Papers is an international journal publishing original scientific and review papers devoted to freshwater biology, their organisms and physico-chemical aspects related closely to the water environment. The scope of the journal includes ecology, taxonomy, physiology, methodology and applied problems. 

Limnological Papers is practically issued (in english but irregular) since 1965 year. So it is scientific journal with traditions. We accepted for printing original articles in the field of limnology, regardless of the time and place of research. The only criterion is importance of research for understanding of freshwater ecosystems.

• Limnological Papers are published by Nicolaus Copernicus University Press and is support by Versita.
• Limnological Papers publishes original articles in the fields of limnology that are interest to a broad and international audience.
• The scope of Limnological Papers comprises the biology of rivers, lakes, ponds and  estuaries and includes taxonomy,  physiology, biogeography, and all aspects of theoretical and applied aquatic ecology, management and conservation, ecotoxicology, and pollution.
