Janusz SADOWSKI, PhD of the Military University of Technology (MUT). He received MSc degree at technical physics from MUT in 1967 with specialisation of solid state physics. His master theses were on electron-microscopic investigations of phase transitions in thin layers of Al-Fe alloys at elevated temperatures. In 1972 he defended his doctor’s dissertation. The dissertation dealt with basic investigations of thin-film technology development and magnetooptic elements of electronic memory of computers. He is a specialist of electron microscopy.
Dr. J. Sadowski is the author of over 40 national and international publications in electron microscopy, thin film physics, electrooptic investigations on strength of material, liquid crystals, and integrated optics application. For many years he has been a teacher at MUT, lecturing on physics of metals, general physics, and electron microscopy.
Since 2006 he has worked as a managing editor of Opto-Electronics Review journal.
