Slovak Speach (Slovenská reč) has as its goal to publish articles that make a clear contribution to current debate in all branches of linguistics and reflects the Slovak speech in its variety. The journal also reflects scolarly discourses which shows the diversity inherent in the discipline. It focuses on promoting scientific discussions with relevance to current and long-continuing problems (language culture, relations between codification, standards and custom, problems of Slovak language diferentiation and stratification). Thanks for its periodicity the journal also allows to be involved in a particular linguistic processes in the Slovak Republic.
Slovak Speach (Slovenská reč) is the oldest, largest, most authoritative slovakistic journal. The aim of this journal during 75 years of its publication was to publish original articles by all Slovak notable linguists. The journal addresses not only linguists, but also various spectrum of the Slovak intellectuals, all those involved in the research, teaching and learning of Slovak speech. In fact, to publish there does guarantee the prestige position in the linguistic circles.
